Blog It!Oprah Winifrey opened a school for girls in South Africa to help the less privileged in early January.Eventhough, according to reports the idea for the school was born in 2000 at a meeting between Oprah Winfrey and Nelson Mandela, where she said she decided to build the academy in South Africa . The students chosen for admission to the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls will be those that are academically talented and exhibits leadership skills in their community, but whose families cannot support their educations says another report, adding that many of the students come from families affected by HIV\AIDS.



Hollywood celebrities are using there fame and fortunes to make a positive difference in the world.You have the opportunity to "partner" with Oprah in the causes that she believes in, either by volunteering , or financially.
